Lucía and her husband Gustavo are a family of fishers living in the middle of the narco and security forces wars from Michoacán and Guanajuato. Living on an island in Lake Cuitzeo and being a fishing family in the middle of both states, they are used for drug trafficking while the roads are guarded. The normalization of this and the exploitation of her children prompts Lucía to make a decision that will end up facing one of her greatest fears.

Erika Oregel
Erika Oregel is a producer and filmmaker. Her first co-directed work El Noveno Horno (2015), won the Identidad y Pertenencia award at the Guanajuato International Film Festival (GIFF). In 2016, she directed her first fiction produced in 24 hours: Domingo, wich can be seen at FilminLatino and was proyected at more than 20 festivals around the world, including Cannes. She currently work as the production and content manager for the streaming platform, Platzi.
